Appraisal Service
Home Measurement Services
Measurement and a floor sketch documenting a home's gross living area using ANSI measuring standards.
How this service works
Square footage in public records is not always accurate. A measurement assignment documents the home as it exists today using ANSI measuring standards, and delivers a sketch with the areas identified.
When this service may be a fit
- County or listing records do not match the home
- An addition or conversion was completed and needs to be documented
- An agent or owner needs a defensible measurement before listing
- A discrepancy came up during a transaction
What to expect
- Step 1You describe the home, its levels and any additions
- Step 2I confirm scope, fee and timing
- Step 3I measure the home on site and identify finished and unfinished areas
- Step 4I deliver a sketch with the measured areas documented
Important limits on this service
- A measurement assignment is not an appraisal and does not include an opinion of value unless you order one.
- I cannot control whether a third party updates its records based on a measurement.
